Arnold Christian Ramsland is an innovator in the pharmaceutical industry. As a quality professional and group leader with Hoffmann-LaRoche (Roche) from 1973 to 2007, he oversaw the development and validation of a wide range of analytical methods for both products in development and marketed drug products. Some areas of expertise for Arnold Christian Ramsland include chromatographic methods (HPLC and GC) as well as particle size, XRF, near-IR, and robotic methods of testing and analysis.

Mr. Ramsland’s achievements included envisioning a novel laser diffraction validation procedure that employed comparison with microscopic analysis. Mr. Ramsland was also involved in identifying unknown substances in marketed products. By quickly identifying the impurities discovered with HPLC stability testing and QC inspection, he was able to avoid costly product recalls. His team also developed and validated around 50 particle size methods applicable to all raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's).

Mr. Ramsland has maintained an active presence in his field, attending numerous American Chemical Society conferences. An avid stock market investor, he has designed unique quantitative approaches for selecting stocks listed on the S&P 500. After retirement, Mr. Ramsland, established Ramsland Technology, LLC,, a company that focuses on clean wind turbine applications.
